Choose a subwoofer that fits your system

Start with the space available, the amplifier you plan to use and the kind of installation you want. Driver diameter is only one part of the decision: the enclosure, wiring and electrical match matter too.

Check the exact voice-coil version

A single-voice-coil subwoofer has one coil; a dual-voice-coil model has two. The coil impedance and wiring arrangement determine the load presented to the amplifier. A similar model name does not confirm the same coil configuration. Check the exact product label and manual.

Check the enclosure and power requirements

Use the manufacturer’s continuous power-handling information when matching an amplifier. Keep advertised MAX or peak numbers separate. Confirm the recommended enclosure type and volume, mounting depth and cut-out dimensions for the exact driver.

A slim or flat description does not establish a vehicle fit. An enclosure listing does not automatically include an amplifier or wiring kit. Check what is supplied before ordering.

Bring these details to the team

Tell us your vehicle, available installation space, amplifier model and exact subwoofer code. If you are replacing a driver in an existing box, include the enclosure details. We can help you work through the match.
